It was Wayne Thomas and Chris Iwelumo who definatly earnt their places in the starting line-ups for the next game getting the vital goals sending Stoke to 4th in the league - a position that they need to at least keep if not push further up in order to achieve promotion.

A terrible first half saw the potters get 'boed' from the field but they responded in the 2nd half with a much better display - and this really started with the introduction of Chris Iwelumo who looked very sharp.

It was Wayne Thomas who broke the deadlock with a header into the back of the net from an Arnar Gunnlaugson free-kick.

Chris Iwelumo expanded on the lead by heading a Deon Burton cross into the back of the net after having one disallowed on his first touch.

Burton had a much better game.
