QPR are a side who want to bounce straight back into division one and it isn’t surprising that their first game was a victory, but over the season we may see them decline as Stoke first did when they hit the league back in 1998. Players who stood out for QPR were their central defender Ben Askar and striker who was forever causing problems – The Goal-scorer Andy Thompson.
Stoke were short of Gunnarson, Hansson and Dadason who I’m sure will soon be starting games when he gets back from his injury.
In the 2nd half, Stoke were a good outfit and dominated the play, they had many opportunities to score including a Thorne goal that was disallowed for handball (disputable) and one chance cleared from the line.
Stoke are defiantly short of a good striker who can take the ball, create an opportunity and score. We need a Mark Stein character, maybe Rikki Dadason will prove to be this striker but he is out for a week or so still.
