Last updated : 08 May 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - Possibly should have done better with the goal and had very little to do, just one save but what save it was at the feet of Van Persie.

Andy Wilkinson - 7 - A great display as he tracked throughout and kept on top of his man whilst also nipping in to steal the ball on numerous occasions.

Marc Wilson - 7 - Another fine performance from the left back, who now looks as comfortable a full back as we have at the club. Great distribution and stood firm against Walcott throughout

Ryan Shawcross - 8 - Under the spotlight he performed fantastically and put in another leaders performance

Robert Huth - 8 - Was a rock once more, clearing everything and winning some vital balls both in the air and on the deck before substitution just after half time with knee injury

Jermaine Pennant - 9(Man of the Match) - Outstanding once again as he set up the first and scored a superb second. Ran the Gunners ragged and was a danger throughout before being subbed after picking up a booking

Rory Delap - 7 - Got stuck in, kept the ball well and never stopped going throughout although his lack of pace was exposed early on by Gibbs running forward

Dean Whitehead - 8 - Chased and chased throughout and won back so many balls to relieve pressure but was caught in possession a few times and also had a few wayward passing

Glenn Whelan  - 8 - Gave another great display as he helped City dominate the midfield with some crisp tackling combined with some fine passing and a couple of decent efforts at goal

Jon Walters - 8 - Another all action display as he pressured the backline and also got himself on the scoresheet with a neat finish, whilst also being involved in many other chances

Kenwyne Jones - 9 - Showed last weeks miss wasn't going to linger in his mind as he scored the opener, just letting the ball hit him and go in from a superb Pennant delivery. Worked tirelessly aswell and made some intelligent runs whilst also holding the ball up superbly, showing great strength

Abdoulaye Faye - 7 - Came in and produced a fantastic performance to help see out the win, showing that should Huth not make the cup final with his knee injury that he is moe than able to step into the gap

Danny Pugh - 6 - Came on with a great workrate to keep the pressure on Arsenal and helped see out the win

Salif Diao - 6 - Was sent on late on to add an extra body to the midfield and helped City to see out a great victory
