Asmir Begovic - 6 - Not a chance with the goals and did got lost coming for a couple of crosses but made a few superb saves to keep City in the game

Andy Wilkinson - 6 - Got caught out and looked rusty but was always willing and looking to get involved

Danny Higginbotham - 6 - Struggled to keep track of winger after impressive start and lack of match practise showed

Robert Huth - 7 - Defender was strong in defence and composed on the ball but couldn't stop the Hammers running away with the game late on

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Like Huth he was strong in defence but wasn't helped by the midfield who let Parker run free to equalise

Jermaine Pennant - 7 - Caused problems as the majority of the wide play came his way due to Etherington missing the game. Delivery was good for the most

Jon Walters - 5 - Struggled to have a positive impact on the game as his recent poor form continued. Created nothing and posed little threat

Glenn Whelan - 6 - Marking was slack, passing was erratic but he did put himself about

Dean Whitehead - 6 - Was quieter than normal and never really got going but did track back and help slow down a few West Ham attacks at crucial times

Tuncay - 7(Man of the Match) - Bundle of energy he was the man that the Potters looked for when going forward. Showed some great imagination but often was let down by his team mates

Kenwyne Jones - 7 - Scored the early goal and showed some neat touches. Maybe held onto the ball too long at times but always looks a threat

Eidur Gudjohnsen - 6 - Lacked support but showed some great control and initial movement to get himself space.

Danny Pugh - 6 - Put himself about after coming on but failed to have an impact on the game as the tie slipped away from the Potters

Rory Delap - 5 - Came on late on to add extra dimension to attack but was poor and sloppy with the ball, throws weren't dangerous and he struggled to compete in the midfield
