Last updated : 03 October 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7(Man of the Match) - Produced a couple of great saves and handling was good otherwise defeat may have been a lot heavier

Andy Wilkinson - 5 - Struggled to contain Dyer and Sinclair and was lucky to stay on after rash challenge in second half

Marc Wilson - 6 - Looked solid enough before being subbed with injury before half time

Ryan Shawcross - 5 - Was troubled by movement and pace of Swansea forwards and rash tackle gave away penalty for opening goal

Jonathan Woodgate - 6 - Was steady enough early on without being at his best and was unlucky with deflection for second goal

Jermaine Pennant - 6 - Involved when the Potters went forward and had a good spell after half time but was lacking a final ball far too often. Set pieces failed to beat the first man

Rory Delap - 6 - Shoved out on the left again and gave 100% as usual but legs don't run for as long as they used to

Dean Whitehead - 5 - Ball was passed through the midfield far too easily and didn't have the same snap in his play as usual

Glenn Whelan - 6 - Hit the post with a free kick and put himself about to try and turn the game in the Potters favour but he couldn't have the desired impact

Jon Walters - 7 - Ran himself into the ground as usual, should have had a penalty when he was pulled to the floor off the ball, and hit the bar in the first half but just wasn't his day

Peter Crouch - 7 - Won most things in the air and laid the ball off well but lack of creativity around him left him kicking his heels for most of the game

Robert Huth - 6 - Struggled with pace of Sinclair after coming on for injured Wilson.

Cameron Jerome - 7 - Pace troubled home defence after introduction and he was unlucky not to get at least one late on after getting himself into a couple of great positiond

Ryan Shotton - 7 - Was a threat after coming on on the right wing. Put some dangerous ball into the box and a couple of long throws caused panic in the area
