Player Ratings: Stoke 3-0 Wolves

Last updated : 29 April 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - Had very little to do but looked comfortable when he was called upon

Andy Wilkinson - 8 - Never gave England winger Jarvis a kick as he was on top of his game throughout the game. Nearly opened his Potters account when Hennessey tipped his effort wide

Marc Wilson - 8 - Another fine display as he distributed the ball well aswell as getting forward well and kept his wing quiet

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Scored his first Premier League goal of the season and also was aq rock at the back, keeping Wolves away from the Potters goal

Robert Huth - 7 - Was a rock again alongside Shawcross as the pair didn't allow Wolves a sniff at goal throughout the game

Jermaine Pennant - 9(Man of the Match) - One of the best performances from a Potter oin recent years as he scored his second City goal and also got his himself an assist and a key role in the third. Some fantastic deliveries caused major problems throughout the game

Matthew Etherington - 7 - Wasn't involved as much as Pennant before a hamstring injury curtailed his game, and possibly his season, but he did look dangerous when on the ball

Glenn Whelan - 7 - Was able to boss the midfield alongside Delap, and then Whitehead, despite being outnumbered three to two by the visitors.

Rory Delap - 7 - Covered a lot of ground both in the middle and then out wide and looked better than usual on the ball

Jon Walters - 7 - Ran himself ragged again and, especially after the break, was dangerous going forward. Had a hat trick of efforts fly inches wide from distance as he looked to continue his recent goalscoring form

Kenwyne Jones - 9 - was absolutely unplayable in the first half yet again as he opened the scoring and also won everything in the air aswell as holding the ball up and playing it to his teammates. Some great footwork from the big man. Is there a better striker in the league at the present time?
