Asmir Begovic - 7 - Very little to do but was always alert to any danger. Very harsh booking

Andy Wilkinson - 7 - Looked a lot better than he has done the past couple of weeks. More composed on the ball, found a man more often and was solid in defence, winning his battle with Pienaar

Danny Collins - 6 - Didn't always pick the best option when in possession but was solid enough in defence

Danny Higginbotham - 7 - Came in from the cold and did well, thoroughly committed display

Ryan Shawcross - 8 - Won everything in the air and no nonsense defending paid dividends as he led the line in the absence of Huth

Jermaine Pennant - 7 - Was carrying a knock to his ribs but still managed to be a danger throughout his time on the pitch and showed no let up after signing permanently for the Potters this week

Matthew Etherington - 7 - Played with a bad back but still managed to put in a fantastic cross for Jones goal and played well within excelling

Dean Whitehead - 8 - Got stuck in from the off and was able to dominate the midfield and give Stoke a platform to build on

Rory Delap - 7 - Bit of a quiet game but did the dirty work and allowed the Potters to ease to victory

Kenwyne Jones - 8(Man of the Match) - Had his best game for many weeks as he won every header and finally got himself on the scoresheet. Some great hold up play and brought team mates into the game when in possession

Ricardo Fuller - 7 - Had no luck in front of goal, could have had a hat trick but the ball keopt getting stuck under his feet. Great pressure helped force the 2nd goal and was a menace all afternoon

Tuncay - 8 - Came on and put in a good shift as he saw the Potters home with plenty of effort. Came close to bagging a third goal and also went close to setting others up

Glenn Whelan - 7 - Kept the midfield ticking over in the last 10 minutes as he came on for his 100th Potters appearance

Jon Walters - 6 - Introduced late on to work the defence in final minutes
