Player Ratings: Stoke 0-1 Blackpool

Last updated : 12 December 2010 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - Pulled off a cracking save in the first half from Campbell and also was assured throughout. No chance with the goal

Andy Wilkinson - 6 - Plenty of effort but kept losing his footing and struggled against Varney

Danny Collins - 5 - Had a very shaky game, gave away a couple of dangerous free kicks and gave the winger acres of room. Played Campbell on for the goal aswell

Robert Huth - 7 - Was solid enough and dealt with most that was thrown at him and had a couple of headers at goal

Ryan Shawcross - 6 - Wasn't on top form as he seemed to struggle with the movement of the front three and looked flustered at times

Jermaine Pennant - 7 - Winger looked dangerous and put in numerous crosses. Always seemed to pick the right option

Matthew Etherington - 6 - Had his moments, hitting the bar with a free kick and putting in a few dangerous crosses but the ball just didn't drop for him

Dean Whitehead - 5 - Alongside Delap he was overran in the midfield as Blackpool's 3-man midfield easily passed it round

Rory Delap - 5 - Had a goal disallowed and a header cleared off the line but was over powered in the midfield

Kenwyne Jones - 6 - Had numerous attempts at goal, won enough in the air and linked up well with Fuller. Poor service led to the fans seeing it differently though and he was ironically cheered when subbed

Ricardo Fuller - 7 - Hit the bar with one shot and had a couple of other chances, aswell as using his close control to beat defenders with ease. Seemed to fade out the game as the service got more and more desperate

Tuncay - 6 - Tried to get the Potters back in the game but was unable to put the killer ball in as the frustration continued

Jon Walters - 6 - Ran his socks off after coming on but lacked real skill to unlock defence

Glenn Whelan - 6 - Came on late on but failed to influence the result
