Last updated : 22 August 2011 By Dan Buxton

Asmir Begovic - 7 - No chance with the goal, the first City have conceded this season after four clean sheets, but made a couple of superb saves and also dustributed the ball cleverly and at the right time

Robert Huth - 7 - Was steady at full back in the first hour and then easily switched to centre back when Shotton was introduced

Marc Wilson - 7 - Showed some good passing and soldi defending. Did well against pacey wingers and when giant Holt drifted out to the left for diagonal ball

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - One silly incident got hium a caution but was otherwise calm and solid. Showed leadership and drive to get teammates going and also adapted well when partner switched from Woodgate to Huth

Jonathan Woodgate - 6 - Not his best showing for CIty so far. Some great positional play to meet crosses at the near post but did get knocked about by Holt and was booked for a rash challenge in the first half before being subbed

Jermaine Pennant - 6 - Never fit after pulling up in the warm up but gave it a go. Was involved early on before being subbed and di produce one or two good balls into the box

Matthew Etherington - 7 - Was a thorn in the Norwich side as he probed at the defence time and again looking for that elusive breakthrough. Did create one good chance for himself first half and was involved in the majority of the play after the break as City pushed hard for an equaliser

Glenn Whelan - 7 - Another good display in the middle by the Irishman as he controlled the tempo during the second half onslaught and played in the flighted ball for Jones late equaliser

Dean Whitehead - 6 - Struggled to impose himself on the game as he threw himself about but without much end result

Jon Walters - 7 - Some good link up play with Jones. Missed a couple of good chances before winning, and then tamely missing, a penalty. Plenty of effort yet again

Kenwyne Jones - 7(Man of the Match) - Won near enough everything in the air and linked up brillaintly with his strike partner. Showed strength, hunger and a willingness to try again and again when, after a couple of bad misses, he nodded in the Potters 94th minute equaliser

Danny Pugh - 6 - Seemed to use his midweekk goal to try his luck from everywhere in and around the box, often ignoring better placed colleagues. Still it was nice to see a Potter willing to shoot from distance. Helped to keep the side ticking over in the main without too much attacking threat

Ryan Shotton - 7 - Came on and added a new dimension, showing pace and ability to bomb forward, overlapping Etherington to cause problems for the home defence whilst also putting some dangerous balls into the box, both with his feet and from his hands in the absence of Rory Delap.
