Player Ratings: Hull 2-1 Stoke

Last updated : 08 November 2009 By Dan Buxton

Thomas Sorenson - 6 - Will be disappointed with the second goal and should of pushed it anywhere but where he did. Way below his best

Robert Huth - 5 - An absolute nightmare that did nothing for his chances of keeping Wilkinson out of the side long term. Too slow, too rash in the tackle and tried too much on the ball

Danny Collins - 6 - Solid game. Few mistakes and the only defender not too be booked.

Abdoulaye Faye - 5 - Looked ropey and two stupid bookings mean he is now suspended and even more importantly, cost us a point in this game. Seriously needs to buck his ideas up

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Booked early on but showed so much more composure than Faye during the second half onslaught and another game to enhance his growing reputation.

Rory Delap - 6 - Another game to show that he isn't a right winger. Throw ins were dangerous and kept the ball better than previously but struggled when asked to go forward

Matthew Etherington - 8(Man of the Match) - Another top notch performance. Took his goal well, was kicked from pillar to post yet never let his head drop. Constant outlet out wide and also did his fair share of defending

Dean Whitehead - 6 - Average game. Did dirty work but struggled when given possession and asked to spread the play

Glenn Whelan - 6 - Never in the game first half but came into it more second time round. Passing and movement picked up as the game wore on

James Beattie - 7 - Put himself about. Obviously not 100% fit but a good shift, in defence and attack, and helped link up play both with his head and feet

Ricardo Fuller - 6 - Isolated late on and blew hot and cold when he was involved. One minute looked like a world beater then looked like he could do nothing right

Subs

David Kitson - 6 - Won headers but was left isolated as we dropped deeper and deeper and was left wondering what his role was

Tuncay - 5 - Was only for a brief period. Unlucky that minutes after coming on, and running around a lot, he was subbed as the Potters were reduced to 10 men.

Andy Wilkinson - 5 - Proud moment when he donned the captains armband after Faye's dismissal but couldn't see out final few minutes
