Player Ratings: Chelsea 7-0 Stoke

Last updated : 25 April 2010 By Dan Buxton

Thomas Sorensen - 7 - Made some cracking saves including a world class effort from Drogba but had already conceded one when he parried a shot to Kalou and then seriously injured himself diving at the strikers feet, ending his afternoon before half time

Robert Huth - 7(Man of the Match) - Very unlucky with the penalty and was a calming influence on the ball. Made some great tackles and was there a lot of the time to stop attacks. Best of the defence

Danny Collins - 3 - Had a shocking game at full back, went missing every time the ball went down his flank allowing the widemen a clear run at the defence. Defensive frailties were really shown up today and was at fault for at least three of the goals

Abdoulaye Faye - 6 - Only played the opening eight minutes before another injury forced his early exit. Had a good start to the game though and looked comfortable until injury

Danny Higginbotham - 6 - Had a steady game and although he made a few mistakes and looked off the pace at times he also threw himself into tackles and made vital interceptions at other times

Dean Whitehead - 6 - Got up and down the wing but never got a good cross in. Defended ok and covered for Huth well when the full back charged forward

Matthew Etherington - 6 - Far from his best game he used the ball well when he saw it but wasn't used often as the midfield seemed to use the right flank a lot more

Glenn Whelan - 5 - Was overrun in the midfield and was unable to put his foot on the ball and play it around.

Rory Delap - 6 - Seemed to pick up an injury early on and the game passed him by. Made a few good blocks and tackles but did very little on the ball and hardly got a chance to launch his long throws

David Kitson - 6 - Was never able to get in the game. Few decent touches when ball was around him but that wasn't very often.

Ricardo Fuller - 7 - Cut a lonely figure up front but never gave up and was a danger when on the ball, especially at 0-0

Ryan Shawcross - 5 - Didn't look the same player we had pre-Ramsey but could well have been down to a bit of rustiness and maybe still carrying a niggle

Asmir Begovic - 7 - Made a couple of great saves but had no chance with the three that got past him. Parried one but had no defence as they all stood and watched Kalou tap in the rebound. Difficult debut

Tuncay - 5 - Game was well gone by the time he got on and he made no difference, hardly touching the ball and ballooning the ball over the one time he got a bit of space
