Player Ratings: Burnley 1-1 Stoke

Last updated : 12 March 2010 By Dan Buxton

Thomas Sorenson - 6 - Goal was past him before he knew it. Kicked well and didn't have any other moments of trouble during the game

Andy Wilkinson - 7 - Put in a solid performance and was always willing to get forward whilst making sure he was there to defend

Danny Collins - 6 - Lost his man a few times, allowing dangerous crosses to be put in without pressure, but was good on the ball and passing is improving

A.D.Faye - 7 - Won almost everything in the air and distributed the ball well. Didn't over complicate his clearances making sure he wasn't caught in possession

Robert Huth - 7 - Always dangerous in the final third and solid as a rock at the back. Calm as ever on the ball and cut out every sniff the hosts had around him

Liam Lawrence - 6 - Still struggling to find his form this season and frustration was clear to see during this game as he stumbled around, losing the ball and putting stray passes around.

Matthew Etherington - 8 - Showed on his return that he has kept his good form. Always looking to dribble with the ball, taunting the full back going inside or outside, and many a dangerous cross into the box. A massive bonus to have him back in the side

Dean Whitehead - 6 - A performance that wasn't up to his usual standards, Delap controlled the midfield and Deano just kept things ticking over. Closed down well and was involved in both boxes as he was often there to pick up the pieces

Rory Delap - 9(Man of the Match) - Had a fantastic game, possibly his best in a Stoke shirt, as he controlled the game from the midfield. Won every tackle, never gave the ball away, even added a bit of skill and dribbling and another throw in set up the goal

Mama Sidibe - 6 - Won a couple of headers, including the crucial flick on for the goal, but wasn't involved for the majority and subbed early for Kitson

Tuncay - 7 - Scored the Potters goal, with a well timed run and impressive header, and made himself a nuisance throughout as he ran himself into the ground.

Danny Pugh - 6 - Came on for Lawrence but struggled to get involved, concentrating on being solid, but did link up a couple of times with Tuncay

David Kitson - 7 - Smart, neat touches and held up the ball whilst tried to get himself in good positions when the ball was wide but wasn't picked out

Louis Moult - 6 - Came on for his league debut and showed some neat touches, never gave the ball away and showed when tussling at a corner that he wasn't overawed. Great energy levels and chasing lost causes will have impressed the gaffer
