Asmir Begovic - 7 - Keeper was forced into a few good saves and did what he had to well, bar one or two Lampard efforts that he pushed away instead of holding

Marc Wilson - 8 - Was fantastic at right back as he distributed the ball well, stayed strong in the tackle and got forward when possible

Danny Higginbotham - 7 - Unlucky to have to go off injured after another solid performance

Ryan Shawcross - 7 - Had a couple of nervy times against the big, powerful Drogba but did quite well on the whole

Robert Huth - 8 - Was a danger in the opposition box, as usual, and also a rock at the back. Threw himself into many a challenge and block for his sides cause, and won them all

Jermaine Pennant - 8 - Winger ran the right hand side well, winning many set pieces aswell as putting countless balls into the box, and also going close himself on more than one occasion

Matthew Etherington - 8 - Had a great game on the left, tormenting the defence and setting up many opportunities for his team mates. Hardly ever wasted the ball

Glenn Whelan - 8 - Anothing cracking performance from in form Whelan as the Irishman kept the ball well and also did the defensive work that is so important in games like these

Rory Delap - 8 - Kept going in the middle and didn't allow the Blues midfield the opportunity to cause problems

Jon Walters - 9 - Fantastic goal and amazing energy kept the visitors backline on their toes throughout

Kenwyne Jones - 9(Man of the Match) - Was a man mountain as he made England captain Terry and Premier League player of the month Luiz look very, very ordinary. Won every header, was strong on the ball and had his best game for the Potters

Dean Whitehead - 7 - Fresh legs brought on late on and was able to help keep the opposition at bay and add some extra bite into the midfield alongside some tired legs

Ricardo Fuller - 7 - Came on against a tiring defence and caused problems. twice got away down the flanks but should have buried that header in added time

Danny Collins - 6 - Came on late for the injured Higginbotham and helped see out the game
