Beat The Manager: Gameweek 5 review

Last updated : 14 September 2009 By Dan Buxton
A few big movers this week because, as a result of Malouda's last ditch winner, five teams correctly predicted the score, while a further seven guessed the correct result.

Cumbrian Select dropped from 3rd to 8th after a prediction of 0-0 meant they picked up 0 points, despite being just moments away from picking up one of the biggest  hauls of the week pre-Malouda whilst Penn United predicted 2-2 and would have been sitting pretty had the Potters managed another goal. The Mighty Plotters were hurt most by the last minute goal as their massive haul for right score and draw bonus was reduced to a measly two points and saw them drop out of the top half.

Heerweege Hammers and Peckham Pouncers continue to lead the way but their lead was nearly completely wiped out as Mighty Morphin Flower Arrangers, T.B.C(M.Young) and Buxtons Picks all picked up full points to close in on the top two. Now just four points seperate the top four with Buxton's Picks just a futher five back and all will be hoping to hit top spot after next Saturdays away game at the Reebok Stadium.

Northend Stokeys were the biggest movers , jumping from nineteen to ninth, whilst the oracle kept up their run of predicting the right result in every game so far this season but have yet to predict one correct score.

The changes in this table courtesy of that late goal is proof that one goal can turn this game completely upside down
