Season review

The Potters future looks bright as the U18's enjoyed their most successful season ever, picking up 40 points to smash the previous record. An away win at Manchester United was one of the highlights as the squad, one of the youngest at this level, impressed throughout the season.
The end of the season saw all second years released, bar midfielder Nathaniel Wedderburn, and this shows the level at which the Potters are operating now. Wedderburn signed a professional contract in November 2008 before being loaned out to Notts County for three months, where he gained valuable first team experience.
Next season has the makings to be even better as the first years, who looked more and more impressive as the season wore on, will be more experienced and this season's U16's are also coming through very highly rated.
The side top scorer was burly targetman Warwick Alexander with 7 goals, followed by strike partner Louis Moult and energetic midfielder Andy Nicholls with 6 goals.
