Potters Given Home Tie In Fourth Round Draw

Last updated : 11 December 2009 By Dan Buxton

Stoke have been handed a home tie in the fourth round of the FA Youth Cup, after being paired with Hull.

The Potters were the first team pulled from the bag and were quickly followed by Hull, who were promoted to the Premier League alongside each other in May 2008.

Stoke defeated Carlisle 1-0 at Brunton Park on Tuesday to progress this far, whilst Hull overcame Shrewsbury at the New Meadow on Monday, winning by two goals to one.

The most successful player the Humberside club have produced recently is attacking midfielder Nicky Featherstone, who is on the verge of breaking into the Hull first team.

The game has to be played by Saturday 16th January, with the most likely date being Wednesday 13th January, with a probable kick off of 7pm and almost certainly at the Britannia Stadium.
