French newspaper L'Equipe has today reported that Marseille's 21 year old winger Elliot Grandin is to have a trial with the Potters.
Grandin, who can also play off the main striker, enjoyed a great start to his career but has feel out of favour under current coach Didier Deschamps and a cut price £800,000 deal could be drawn up if the players impresses.
Technically sound he stands 5 foot 8 tall and scored twice on eleven games for Marseille last season.
