There is much speculation about Alan Pardew's safety as manager at the moment as speculation mounts that Trevor Brooking may be brought in as caretaker manager until the end of the season.
West Ham deny these claims and issued a statement on the official web-site today: ”West Ham United would like to make clear that there is no truth whatsoever in the story, which appeared in a Sunday tabloid, suggesting that the Club is trying to tempt Sir Trevor Brooking to return as caretaker manager until the end of the season".
West Ham have also been linked with a loan move of Michael Duberry from Leeds United.
