Stoke boss Tony Pulis insists his side will not get carried away after their third win in four games took them to seventh spot in the Premier League.The Potters edged out Blackburn Rovers 1-0 at the Britannia and have not lost in the league since August.
Pulis told BBC Sport: "This is a relentless league. You get good runs and bad runs but you have to keep level and we'll do that.
"We have to keep our feet on the ground and keep pushing on."
Pulis was particularly pleased with how his side dealt with Blackburn's physical approach.
"It was a very competitive game and you would expect that," Pulis added. "Blackburn always have a go and they gave everything.
"There were a lot of good performances from us. We created some very good opportunities to score more goals and that's the only disappointing thing that we didn't take some of those chances.
Allardyce blames defence for defeat
"We are moving along nice and steady and hopefully will secure our status in the Premier League."
Blackburn counterpart Sam Allardyce blamed his side's sloppy defending for their defeat.
"Letting them get through the middle from a flick-on is not the norm for us but Chris and Ryan allowed that to happen," Allardyce said.
"I was very surprised that Jon Walters ended up in that position to score. He took it well but it was very poor defending from our side."
