City midfielder Michael Tonge has joined Championship side Derby County on loan for the rest of the season.
Tonge joined the Potters in the summer of 2008 but has failed to force his way into the City line up and has already had a loan spell at Preston this season.
He returned to the Britannia Stadium at the start of the year after Preston couldn't afford to keep him but with County struggling at the foot of the table boss Nigel Clough has decided to splash out on the creative midfielder to try and help keep the Rams in Englands second tier.
