5th September 1979: Born Lorenskog, Norway

1995: Joins local side Lorenskog FC

1997: After much attention off the media he was signed by professional side Valerenga

1997: Wins Norwegain national cup

November 1998: Becomes the first Black player to play for Norway, he now has 85 caps

January 1999: Scores first international goal in 3-3 draw against Estonia

1999: Joins Rosenborg, scoring 18 goals in 18 games for the Norwegain giants

1999: Wins Norwegian Premier League

June 2000: Joins Valencia in 8.5m euro deal

March 2001: Scored the only goal as Valencia defeated Arsenal in Champions League quarter final

May 2001: Ends as runner up in Champions League

May 2002: Wins La Liga

August 2002: Spanish Supercup runner up

February 2003: Scores twice in 2-1 win over Arsenal to send Gunners crashing out of Champions League once again

June 2003: Joined Roma on a season long loan

June 2004: Joined Besiktas

June 2005: Named Norwegian Player of the Year

July 2005: Joined Lyon in 7.6m euro deal

May 2006; Wins Ligue 1 and French National Cup

January 2007: Signed for Aston Villa in a swap deal for Milan Baros

June 2007: Named Norwegian Player of the Year

March 2008: Scored against Stoke in 2-2 draw at Villa Park, a goal to be voted the Villains goal of the season

June 2008: Named Norwegian Player of the Year

February 2010: Runner up in Carling Cup

March 2010: Scored hat trick in FA cup win over Reading, is the competitions top scorer for the season

January 2011: Joins Stoke on 6 month loan deal
