Thordarson: Stoke eyes up Cotterill in February

"I knew more or less in January what was going on," alleged Thordarson. "I knew they were in touch with people to get them ready to take over. I know Steve Cotterill went down to watch Stoke play Bournemouth on February 2.

"It was difficult to continue with this going on in the bakground, but I am a stubborn man and all I focused on was the football. After promotion, I thought they would reconsider it, but they didn't." Said Thordarson.

Thordarson takes the board to court next year as he looks to claim £100,000 for unfair dismissal and at least to get his Promotion Winning Bonus which was never paid.
