Youngster Louis Moult is set to become the Potters youngest ever Premier League starter in Sundays local derby at Wolves.
Moult, 17, has already appeared three times from the bench for the Potters, including once in the league, but after a string of impressive performances for both the reserve and academy sides he has impressed manager Tony Pulis sufficiently to be included in the first XI.
A local boy, born less than a mile from the ground, Moult made his debut earlier this season when he came on and played over an hour in the Carling Cup tie away at Leyton Orient. A short cameo in the heavy defeat away at Portsmouth, also in the Carling cup, followed before a league debut when he came on for the final ten minutes away at Burnley last month, making him the clubs youngest ever Premier League player.
The hitman then signed a contract that run to the summer of 2012 and has top scored for both reserve and academy sides this season, having played as a lone striker in the majority of matches for both sides this season.
The strikers inclusion has come about as Ricardo Fuller remains a doubt for the game following the calf injury he picked up scoring the opener last week, coupled with Moult's impressive showing in this weeks reserve encounter with West Ham and Potters boss Pulis told the official site, stokecityfc.com, that if Fuller isn't fit "If he(Fuller) doesn't play, then Louis will come in for him. The lad has done very well in the reserves this season, and he performed well against West Ham".
