?Stoke v West Brom (8pm)Stoke: Begovic, Wilson, Huth,Shawcross, Pugh, Pennant, Whitehead, Delap, Walters, Jones, Carew.Subs: Sorensen, Higginbotham, Collins, Whelan, Fuller, Etherington,Wilkinson.

West Brom: Carson, Reid, Meite, Olsson, Shorey, Brunt, Scharner,Dorrans, Mulumbu, Thomas, Fortune.Subs: Myhill, Tchoyi, Morrison,Vela, Odemwingie, Tamas, Jara.

Referee: Michael Oliver (Northumberland)

19.47: I hope Hodgson's faith in Meite pays off. He will have earned his corn tonight if he deals with that Rory Delap throw in effectively.

19.44: One key component tonight could be Matthew Etherington. A player who sneaks under the radar in terms of praise but the damage he constantly inflicts down the left hand side is remarkable.

I know he starts on the bench tonight due to an injury but should Stoke need him he is almost certain to change the game in their favour.

19.41: West Brom manager Roy Hodgson rings the changes as he seeks to end the Baggies' woeful record against Stoke in their encounter at the Britannia Stadium.

Defender Abdoulaye Meite, who has played only three Carling Cup matches this season and not featured since December 1, makes his first league start in almost a year and his first Barclays Premier League appearance since April 2009.

Goalkeeper Scott Carson also returns from an absence stretching back to January 4 while Steven Reid and Youssouf Mulumbu are the other two alterations from the side which drew with Wolves eight days ago.

Boaz Myhill, Gabriel Tamas, Gonzalo Jara and Peter Odemwingie drop to the bench as the visitors go in search of only their second victory in 26 league clashes with Stoke.

Stoke boss Tony Pulis makes just one change following the defeat at Arsenal last Wednesday, with striker Kenwyne Jones returning at the expense of midfielder Glenn Whelan.

19.38: Add on to that that West Brom have lost all three Premier League encounters with Stoke and have not won at tonight's hosts for 29 years. But hey records are there to be broken.

19.36: First up I'm going to have to get a few stats out there - the omens really do not bode well if you are a West Brom fan. this from OptaJoe:

28 - Roy Hodgson has won only one of his last 28 Premier League away games. Frailty.

19.33: Team news from the Britannia:

19.30: I know what you are thinking. All the action was yesterday and this is just leftovers at best.

Well, this game is far too important to just be cast aside. Stoke still have outside ambitions of Europe while West Brom are scrapping for every point at the bottom. A draw does neither side any real favours so I expect a goal or two this evening in what should be quite an entertaining encounter.

Team news on the way.
