Stoke to have Sporting chance?

John Rudge and Tony Scholes are meeting officials in Portugal to discuss the possibility of developing links at all levels from the Academy upwards.  If any deal were to be struck it could be of great benefit to the Potters as some rising stars may be sent over to further their football development.

This move shows that the club is looking into ways of expanding their links with other clubs on top of those already in place with Austin Aztecs and Salif Diao's African links.  These sort of deals are important in modern football, so lets just hope something concrete comes of it.
