Stoke City manager Tony Pulis says his team need to start building on the progress they have made this season.Stoke have enjoyed their best campaign since reaching the Premier League in 2008, finishing as FA Cup runners-up and qualifying for the Europa League.

"A fourth season in the top flight is fantastic. We need to move on again and improve," Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke.

"We've had lots of highs this season, but there are lots of things we want to do as a football club."

The only downside for the Potters was their 13th-place finish in the Premier League.

The club had targeted finishing higher in the table than in their previous two terms and with a higher points tally.

The final day defeat at home to Wigan meant Stoke finished the season on 46 points, one short of last season's total.

"It's been a disappointing way to finish but it has still been a fantastic season for us," Pulis added.

"We will try to keep moving on and with the Coates family in charge they will want to do that too."
