Step Forward Peter Crouch..

Crouch has not featured for England since he was ignored by Fabio Capello, despite his international record of 22 goals from 42 appearances.

The tall one has been with the Potters since last year and Pulis makes no attempt to hide the fact that he is a big fan.

And he also knows that if his old boss Harry Redknapp has any input to put in about the England squad, then Crouch should stand a very good chance.

"Peter Crouch doesn't have a point to prove anywhere, even England," said Pulis. "People know what Crouch is all about and he has done fantastically in his career and fantastically at Stoke.

"I don't give a damn what people do or don't think about him. I am just glad we have got Peter Crouch at this football club.

"You would have to wait and see about England, wait and see who gets the job. Crouch's biggest chance of getting back into the England squad is playing well between now and the end of the season. But no one would know him better than Harry Redknapp.

"Crouch trains and plays like a 15-year-old. He has so much enthusiasm. He is a throwback to the old days of good old pros. He is a delight to be with. I have to chuck him off the training ground."
