South Car Park Joy

Once the factory opened last year, the road was declared public and had to be a two way road so the factory could operate as usual. Only one lane had to empty the 5000 space Car Park every home game and as you could imagine, this took hours.

A deal had been made between Stoke City and H. W. Plastics to allow the road to be one way during the period at the end of the match where the car park emptied and this has been renewed for this season.

Jonathan Fuller told the Official Web-site, "Both John (Alcock) and myself held a meeting with representatives of H.W. Plastics and came to an agreement where Stanley Matthews Way will be of use to us after a game on a matchday."

"I'm delighted with this arrangement and very appreciative of the fact that H.W. Plastics has agreed to the use of the road."

"As was the case last season, vehicles will be able to travel south along Stanley Matthews Way, forming two lanes of one-way traffic. This will allow fans to exit the stadium in the quickest and most suitable way."
