The 30 year-old striker has joined the club from Icelandic side Hafnafjordur and follows fellow countryman Thordur Gudjonsson to the Britannia Stadium.
Stoke signed many Icelanders at the time of Gudjon Thordarson and seem to have brought todays pair in from Iceland when they couldn't sign striker Rob Hulse.
However, this could be nothing but good for Stoke who have been short of new ideas recently and need some fresh faces to brighten up a dull run of form.
