"We are having him over to have a look at him," director of football, John Rudge told Sky Sports.
"We have Icelandic connections and obviously that is how this has come around."
The Icelander will be joined by Finnish international Miika Koppinen who has also been invited over from another Norwegian club, Tromso, for a trial period at the Britannia Stadium.
