Ricketts leaves it late (Team News)

Ricketts has only featured in two games for Stoke since his loan began from Leeds after picking up an ankle injury against Coventry.

"Michael's ankle is still sore. We're just hoping he can get through the next couple of days and be fit for Saturday. We need to get him roaring around", said Pulis.

"He's a goal scorer and he may have lost his way a bit at Leeds, but we are hoping he can give his career a kick start and start scoring like we know he can."

City lose Clive Clarke, Gerry Taggart and Lewis Neal for the game due to an alleged flu at the Britannia Stadium.

Should this be correct, Stoke will have to make changes by moving Thomas and Duberry into the central defensive roles and can perhaps involve Lewis Buxton on the right side of defence.

In the midfield, Henry may be drafted in to start on the left hand side of midfield.

Up front, Gifton Noel-Williams will partner either Kenwyne Jones or Michael Ricketts, Ricketts is expected to be on the bench though if he can be fit for the game.

Sheffield United have 3 major doubts. Their official web-site is reporting first team regulars Danny Cullip, Michael Tongue and Paul Shaw may not feature in the game.
