Reid in for Assistants job?

Reid, 53, has managed Manchester City, Sunderland, Leeds and Coventry before his current position as head coach of the Thailand national side.

Local media reports have suggested he has been at training today, and although they failed to confirm what the intention of his visit was, rumours are rife that it was for the vacant position as manager Tony Pulis' right hand man.

Some rumours are even suggesting the deal is done and the Potters will be announcing is shortly but no official word has yet to be announced and it is possible the visit could have nothing to do whatsoever with any sort of employment for Reid at the football club.

Since Dave Kemp stepped down from the role in the close season due to wanting to spend more time with his family, who are based in the United States, a cluster of people have been linked with the job including Sam Ellis, Paul Jewell and only last week ex-Manchester United assistant Brian Kidd.
