Pulis speaks of long term ambitions

"Peter wants to do things sensibly," Pulis said. "There are a lot of clubs spending a lot of money at the moment to try and get into the Premiership, but Peter wants to build a football club and make sure we go about things in the proper manner.

"We want a good structure with good young players and experienced players, and his brief to me has been 'you take your time'. Peter has taken a lot of stick in the past and if he's willing to be patient, I will work hard and enjoy it."

Pulis added: "We have bought two good players (Danny Higginbotham and Vincent Pericard), they have improved us, and we have got to be a little bit cleverer than the others, a little bit more patient, and make sure we pick up the right players for the football club. I mustn't waste Peter's money and I won't be doing that."
