Pulis Reflects

"We had a couple of very good opportunities and one great chance, Wayne will be disappointed he didn't score, but I thought he was terrific." Tony Pulis explained, as he defended Wayne Thomas for missing a late opportunity.

"The end product was not there for us today. We weren't as good as we have been in the last couple of weeks.

"But credit to Preston, because they worked hard, and made it very difficult for us.

"I thought Wayne Thomas was outstanding for us at the back, especially with his marking of Ricardo Fuller. He might have got a couple of goals, but for Wayne's defending.

"Maybe overall we lacked a bit of creativity, and it's very disappointing to lose, but we'll get going again on Monday, and prepare for Burnley next Saturday."

"It's been a decent start but we're still looking to bring a few players in," he said.

"It is a new team we've got.

"We're building something from nothing and must not get too carried away with what we've done."
