Pre-Season Plans Started To Be Put Together

Stoke will again travel to Austria this pre-season after the club announced the dates for the annual tour.

The Potters will fly out to the European country on July 11th and fly back to England on July 19th.

No news has been given about destination within Austria but the club has used the same venue for every tour since manager Tony Pulis took over at the club and that is likely to again be where the Potters stop.

City usually play two games in the country, including a game played the day before they fly back. This is sure to be the same this season and opponents and destinations of games will be announced in due course. Past opponents in Austria include Real Madrid and Roma.

The club will also no doubt open their season with a game at Newcastle Town's Lyme Valley Stadium, a game that is expected to be played on Saturday 10th July, whilst last season the game also tied in with a game at Nantwich Town, with both games being played at exactly the same time and the squad split in two. There is no indication of whether that will be repeated this pre-season but the probability is high with City still using Nantwich's ground for reserve fixtures.
