Stoke are launching an audacious last ditch bid for Real Zaragoza winger Jermaine Pennant.
Pennant is unsettled in Spain and has been linked with a move to Ajax but the Potters have contacted the Spanish side in the last half hour to try and sort a deal.
Pennant reportedly jumped at the chance and now the paperwork is frantically being sorted for a player who has played for both Arsenal and Liverpool but has had his share of personal problems, although his spell in Spain has reportedly led to him being more respectful of his career.
