Potters Star- Ill be fit for Bolton

Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen is confident a hip injury which has forced him to return home early from international duty will not keep him out of Barclays Premier League action at the weekend. The 34-year-old pulled out of Denmark's Euro 2012 qualifier with Cyprus tonight because of a muscle injury sustained in training last week. He opted to play in Friday's 2-1 defeat to Portugal but had to be replaced. However, Sorensen is optimistic of being ready for Saturday's trip to Bolton. "It is a small tear in the hip area and an ultrasound scan showed there was some bleeding," he said. "I'm walking all right, but it's the explosive work, like kicking and sprinting, which is a problem. The doctor in Denmark told me this injury usually lasts a week so there shouldn't be a problem for the weekend. "It was a difficult decision to come home, but you cannot gamble on this sort of thing. I know I have made the right decision."
