After much speculation about who will be manufacturing the Potters kit next season it ha now been confimed that the company charged with delivering a high quality strip wil be....German giants Adidas.

The company, regarded by many as the leading manufacturer of sports clothing in the world, boasts superstar David Beckham among their clientele and, if speculation is to believed, beat off stiff competition from Nike and Umbro to win the rights to make the Potters kits for the 2010/11 and 2011/12 seasons.

The new kit has already been designed and is ready to be made, but is believed to have a solid panel on the back of the shirt, a design that has already started to cause controversy among the City faithful with social networking sites filled with people's strong views on the lack of stripes on the City home shirt.

Former manufacturers Puma and Le Coq Sportif have both had problems supplying the Potters with adequate kits and the club is hoping the fact Adidas were so keen to agree a deal with the Potters will see the clubs strips more of a priority than they were with the aforementioned two.
