Potters eye double strike deal

Stoke City are holding talks with Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner and Birmingham's Cameron Jerome as the transfer deadline looms.

Potters boss Tony Pulis has been seeking additions in attack throughout the summer and it would seem as if he has now decided to make a move for Denmark international Bendtner, with a ?9million fee mooted. The 23-year-old is desperate to leave Arsenal after seeing his chances restricted at the Emirates and would welcome the chance to move to a Premier League rival before today's transfer deadline.

Pulis had been linked with Spurs man Peter Crouch, but it would seem as if he has ended his interest in the England international after failing to agree terms earlier in the summer. The Potters are also thought to be in talks with ?6million-rated Birmingham striker, Jerome, as Pulis bids to bolster his options in attack before the window slams shut.
