Potters Close On Midfielder?

City look set to open their summer transfer dealings with the signature of playmaker Joe Ledley.

Ledley, 23, is a free agent after his contract with Cardiff City ran out but he is a long time target of manager Tony Pulis, for as long as three years in fact, and reports state he has now finally decided to join the Potters.

The Welsh national captain has had talks with Celtic, Rangers, Roma and Galatasary aswell as Cardiff but the lure of working with fellow Welshman Pulis, and playing in the Prmeier League seems to have swung him towards the Britannia Stadium.

The Bluebirds will be happy if the midfielder joins Stoke as the Potters will have to pay compensation, most likely decided by a tribunal, whereas he will be on a free to any club outside of England.
