POTTERIES DERBY

For the winners - Local Pride and the ability to take the 'mickey' out of rival fans come monday morning back at work. The loosers hang their heads in shame.

At Vale Park earlier this season we saw a cracking match in the bad conditions at vale park. It is now accepted that the away match at Vale Park = rain + Boring Draw, however at Stoke things have been slightly more interesting in recent years.

The sun is shining (I say this at 10:45am) The Stadium looks fantastic standing proud at the top of the potteries (Just drove past!) and we always get goals in this fixture.

Last time the Vale were at the Britannia Stadium it was the vale that won in extra time after an 'injury time equaliser' by Stoke - that was a fantastic feeling.

Today - My Prediction is a win for one of the sides.

There has been lots of speculation that the police tell the two teams to draw to help matters off the pitch. This has been slammed as rubbish by everyone concerned with both clubs and why would a promotion chasing side and a relegation avoiding (Sorry Vale) side throw away precious points?

Personally, I hope for an entertaining game. If its a 3-3 draw and Stoke played really well then there would be no compaining. Stoke must not loose in order to keep pressure on at the top. A win or even draw could take us 2nd and thats a place we need to get to and keep.

If you haven't got your ticket, we did warn you yesterday that you're missing out. Those going are in for a treat.
