Gareth said: "I came through the reserve game well and my ankle feels strong. I've been raring to go for the last couple of weeks but I've had to be patient and wait to fully recover and hopefully that'll happen now."

"I've enjoyed the chance to go out on loan before and play first-team football every week so I would welcome another switch," he said. "With my contract being up in the summer I've got to look after myself and see what happens."
