Greenacre has spoke of his reasons for joining Stoke City:

Teamtalk: Other clubs, including Leicester City and Nottingham Forest were also interested in the out-of-contract striker, but Greenacre opted for the newly-promoted Potters because of City's financial stability.

He said: "You've got to take those things into consideration. There is not many clubs at the moment that have got a lot of money, but Stoke seemed to fit well for me."

Pitch looking good for this season:

The Stoke City pitch has been reseeded for the first time since the Britannia Stadium opened in 1997.

Chief Executive Jonathan Fuller said:
"We have had the pitch mowed and re-seeded during the summer and it's in very good condition ­almost ready to play on.

"However, it needs to thicken a little before our first friendly against West Brom on July 31, so we're keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine as I think everyone in the country probably is at the moment."

Robbie Winters a No Go:

The 28 year-old has been trialling for the past two weeks at the Britannia Stadium, but manager Steve Cotterill has decided to look elsewhere. Winters did not impress in training to Cotterill's satisfaction and has been sent back to Aberdeen.

Winters has also been linked with Luton and Wimbledon
