Jamie Ness has been given the go-ahead by FIFA, so he now becomes a Stoke player for real....Nearly.
There were several players who had their futures put on hold while Rangers newco messed them about because they made moves.
Ness was one of the players who refused to transfer his contract with Rangers over to the new club and made the move down south to join Stoke, since then he and the other players who left the club have been waiting for international clearance.
The association to which the players are affiliated can request temporary registration from FIFA, which would allow the players to get started while they wait for the problems to be sorted out.
to allow the player to play during the period of arbitration - which happened with Ness who has been given the green light.
PFA Scotland solicitor, Margaret Gribbon told PA Sport: "I can confirm that Jamie Ness has been granted provisional clearance from FIFA.
"I am delighted about that and expect all other applications pending before FIFA to take the same course."
