It was only fair to ban Millwall supporters if only for our team as it would have handed Millwall an unfair advantage should their supporters be allowed to support them away without Stoke fans being allowed at their place.

The unfortunate decisions have been made due to the hooligan element that both clubs possess meaning that the real fans won't be allowed to see their football team play that game.

Good news though that the away end will be turned into a Football In The Community Stand where thousands of local youngsters can come and watch the game for free.

The Official Site said..
"It is hoped that the ban on Millwall supporters at the Britannia Stadium will ensure a trouble-free day at a match recognised by the authorities as potentially being of a high-risk nature, which would potentially attract a number of the local hooligan element had away supporters been admitted."

Chief Executive Jonathan Fuller said "Not allowing away support at the Britannia Stadium is not ideal but the move is made with the best of intentions to assist Millwall to have a trouble-free season."

"They have introduced various initiatives to combat their problems and a stable season will allow time for these to be fully developed and tested, and we look forward to welcoming their supporters to the Britannia Stadium again in the future."
