Lawrence Fighting To Be Fit For Coventry

Last updated : 09 April 2008 By Richard Murphy
Lawrence, who has been one of the best players in the Championship this season, was on a very fine run of form before picking up a tenth yellow card for the season and missing two matches. He made a welcome return at Hillsborough only to pick up an injury during the week and miss the televised match with Palace.

Lawrence confessed that it will be touch and go to see if he can play at Coventry and admitted that he will not be training this week in an attempt to be fit to play.  The midfielder has been sorely missed during his absence and to miss another game would be frustrating for fans and player alike.

Also nearing fitness is midfielder Salif Diao, who should be fit in time for the Bristol City game on 19th April.  Diao was starting to get to grips with the game after a lengthy lay off before picking up his injury versus Blackpool.
