Kevan Speaks

Firstly about last nights game against Sheffield Wednesday where the Potters put on a good second half performance but poor refereeing and pure bad luck and bad finishing stood in the way of earning our fair share of the points.

Kevan: "We feel a bit hard done by. We created far more chances than we had done in previous matches - unfortunately, we did not take them and their goalkeeper had a great night.

"Paddy Kenny was their sponsors' man of the match and that says it all really.

"That was credit to the way we played but we need to finish things off."

On the Managerial Post:

"I haven't applied for the job and I won't be doing so.

"I love working for the club and I was more than happy to take over as caretaker manager and to continue to do that for as long as I am required to.

"But, at this stage of my career, I feel I am better suited to a coaching role and feel my strengths are better utilised in that area.

"It is very flattering to see my name linked with the post and to have been talked about as a possible successor to Steve, but I have to be completely honest and say that such a move would be too soon for me."
