The Bosnia-Herzegovina international has plied his trade in England since joining Portsmouth in 2005 and is happy with life after starting a family.

He moved to the Britannia Stadium 18 months ago and became Tony Pulis' first-choice keeper last season after dislodging Thomas Sorensen as No 1.

Begovic is still only 23 and has many years in front of him, but has no plans at this point to embark on a new challenge in a different country.

"I'm enjoying it here and I think that I will stay in England even after my career is over," he told San.ba. "My 20-month-old daughter, Taylor, was born here and I would like her to grow up in England.

"But then again, my parents live in Germany and who knows what will happen.

"But my point is - I want the best for my kids and that is why I could see myself and my family in England for a long time."

Begovic has also predicted that a number of his compatriots will soon be heading to British shores, insisting there are several Bosnians who could shine in the Premier League.

"Now that me and Edin Dzeko are playing in the Premier League there is much more talk about Bosnian players, and I believe that there are footballers who could also play here," he said.

"I see many players who would fit perfectly, like (Vedad) Ibisevic, (Sejad) Salihovic, (Emir) Spahic and (Miralem) Pjanic.

"I hope and also believe that there will be more Bosnians coming to England this summer."
