Jones said (as reported by this site on monday): “I am really enjoying being given the opportunity to play first-team football on a regular basis here and pleased to be staying until the end of the season.

”The side are on a great run at the moment and we are extremely focussed on getting into the play-offs.

”I have to keep working hard and learning every day in training, but there is nothing quite like playing first-team football for improving your level of play.”

John Rudge was pleased to have extended both players' loans: "We are delighted to get both signed up for the rest of the season," he said.

"Kenwyne in particular has done quite well since he has been here while we feel there is still plenty more to come from Michael."

Michael Ricketts added: "I think this club is really going places.

"It was very disappointing to pick up an injury just after I joined the club because I was buzzing after coming here.

"My fitness is getting there gradually and I'm playing twenty minutes here and there and my ankle is getting stronger and stronger.
