"Big" Chris Iwelumo

Striker Chris Iwelumo thinking completely unselfishly has agreed with manager Tony Pulis to have a minor cartilage operation in the summer and help the potters in their relegation struggle for the rest of this season.

Big Chris was told he needs the minor operation after complaining of pain in his knee.

Tony Pulis told the official web-site, "He does need an operation but his attitude is terrific and we have agreed that if he can get through the remainder of the season and then have the operation in the summer that would suit us both. He's happy to do that."
